Perspective

Perspective is the lens through which we view the world, shaping how we understand people, places, and moments. In photography, it’s the angle, distance, and lens that frame the subject. In life, perspective determines how we interpret our surroundings.

In recovery, much like in photography, perspective is transformative. It’s about how we choose to look at our past, challenges, and growth. Just as a photographer shifts their viewpoint to capture a different angle, I learned to shift my mindset—seeing struggles not as obstacles, but as stepping stones leading me toward healing.

Through both life and the lens, I learned how shifting my perspective could reveal not only new ways of seeing, but a deeper understanding of myself, and the world around me.
